I got another rat girl today, and she took to me so quickly when we stopped by at our friend’s house. I let my hair down and in no time she was zonked out for a bit. Tomorrow I should have pictures of my new pretty girl. I’m excited. I finally have my own fuzzy now that I can snuggle to. At least until she gets active, too. For now, I’m gonna sit on hope that she’s the snugly type. Seven will be jealous, but she’ll always be my big baby. <3

I sometimes hate people on the internet. Just because you know a lot about something, don’t be a dick. I asked for advice, and instead of getting a non-rude response, I got bombarded with the same answer by many different people, then was told that rats are the wrong pets for me because I want a fairly inexpensive cage. Can’t find one that’s not just sold online.

I hate people sometimes. (Always.)

In other news, the girls are doin’ great. Just as goofy as ever. Seven still bounces around like a bunny. She’s discovered the wonders of climbing down Tyler’s leg to escape to the floor. Mary-Jane is a lot more relaxed, as well.

Does anyone know of some good cage material or a site that I can hunt down a cage that’s sold in stores? I don’t have deep pockets right now. And again, I’m pretty pissed. Just because I can’t buy the “amazingly best of the best” for my rats, doesn’t mean I don’t deserve to have them. :|

Anyway, I love Seven with all my heart, Tyler loves Jane the same… our family wouldn’t be the same any other way. <3

Yes, we’re thinking about another rat from PetSmart. The reasoning for this is because Tyler really wants to take his girl with him. We do, however, need to get a hold of another cage or something. We’re not really sure how it’s going to work out. But, we had been considering a couple more rats for awhile, anyway. While I am still interested in a neutered male, I’m not jumping for it anymore.

I realize I haven’t been posting quite as much as I used to. Both of the rats are doing just fine, being the little pains in my asses that they always have been. Seven is still full of bouncy personality, and Jane is slowly coming out of her shell. Tyler has progressed with her to the point that she no longer struggles when held.

I’ll be creating another journal for the purpose of my new yearling, Velvet’s April Rain. The blog will be located here, and will used as this one is. I’ll have posts of her progress, pictures, and more.
