Because I’m lazy and can’t manage multiple accounts well, I created a new blog on my current account. It depresses me to be on this blog because I’m tempted to look back on my baby girl’s first pictures. And yes, I mean that in a “she was like my child” way.

I hope anyone still interested in following me will indeed follow this new blog. Thank you for understanding. <3

It’s what I refer to ‘em anymore. Tyler is daddy, and I’m momma. Already I miss Seven. I spent most of every day and night with her until she passed from Friday to Monday. I’m still exhausted from not sleeping much, and I cry randomly. A lot of things remind me of her, and I honestly had no idea I was this attached to my baby. My poor heart rat…

Seven, I’ll miss you forever.

As for the others, Chuck will be getting a new home with the owners of Tender Heart Rat Rescue in Illinois. I’m just waiting to know what weekend is best for them so I can determine if it’ll work for me. Mary-Jane is a squishy pear. Snowfluff was and still is Seven’s long lost twin (with fur). She’s ornery and always gets where she isn’t suppose to - usually if it involves climbing. Mousie is still a bit shy of me. With no much of a bond between Mousie and I, Seven’s death didn’t really help. I feel defeated about it before I even pick her up.

Mom already mentioned getting a little cage mate for Mousie so Jane and Fluff can have the newest cage. It’s not as “fancy” as the 2-story I made, but I’ll try to deck it out in awesome before I move the two in. Bad enough Seven and Jane were probably bored as hell, don’t need to keep it up. :/

I need more rat people to talk to! Send me some emails or somethin’. Anyone know of a good rat forum?

Seven, my beloved hairless, died today at 1:56 pm after suffering the past few days. I miss her already. I’ll post pictures eventually. As soon as I get a new laptop I’ll also be posting more. Thanks for following.

And it’s gotta be none other than the infamous upper respiratory infection. I suspected something when I bought her last Friday when she kept sneezing and squeaking as she crawled around the box on our way home. But, I decided to give her a week just in case it was the stale cigarette smoke that was in the car from the trip up there (bf smokes, not me). Well, it’s a week today and when I brought her over to Scott’s for some social time, she had a few sneezing fits that looked like she was in some pain.

Thanks to a fellow rat lover who works at PetSmart, I now know I can take her back so she can get free treatment. I just have to let them know I’ll want her back as soon as she’s healthy again. My baby will have to wait until after Christmas, but we’ll be going there before this coming Friday (both because I want it treated asap and because that’s when the 14 day guarantee becomes invalid).

I got another rat girl today, and she took to me so quickly when we stopped by at our friend’s house. I let my hair down and in no time she was zonked out for a bit. Tomorrow I should have pictures of my new pretty girl. I’m excited. I finally have my own fuzzy now that I can snuggle to. At least until she gets active, too. For now, I’m gonna sit on hope that she’s the snugly type. Seven will be jealous, but she’ll always be my big baby. <3
